Established in 1963, we became known as 'Bracknell & Wokingham College' 30 years later, in 1993. We are a further education college, and a not-for-profit organisation, specialising in 16+ learning.

2009/10 sees the opening of our new Church Road centre, with room for 1500 students. All our School leavers will enjoy the brand new facilities in the next academic year.

Originally one of the oldest golf courses in Southern England, golf has been played at Billingbear Park since the late nineteenth century. The land was then farmed during the two world wars before being rebuilt as a golf course in 1989. Since then a new nine hole course has been added, so that there are now two, nine hole golf courses on this medieval site. The Old Course consists of one par 5, five par fours and three par three holes. The new course is a fascinating and scenic par three course where two lakes create delightful water hazards (optional) and the views are stunning. Billingbear Park is easily reached from Wokingham, Bracknell, Binfield and the A329M. Many golfers enjoy playing both courses creating a varied, fun eighteen holes.

Opened in 1993, the Course's maturity far exceeds its tender years and offers a challenging 6,212 yards, par 70, maintained to the very highest standards, with tees and greens built to USGA specifications. Sown with bent and fescue grasses, the course comprises two contrasting loops of nine holes. The outward nine, set in parkland, boasts extensive lakes and water hazards, offering a challenging but thoroughly enjoyable start to the round.

Lavender Park Golf Centre was originally opened in the late 1970’s. It has recently undergone significant improvements on all aspects of the facility, from the Golf course which now has newly constructed teeing areas, along with improved greens and surrounds, to the Driving Range which along with being supplied with new mats and golf balls, has also been completely renovated inside and out making it the premier practice facility in the area, to the clubhouse which has had significant structural improvements including a significantly improved golf shop boasting the most comprehensive range of premium golf brands at the most competitive prices!
