Ingol Golf Course was established in 1981 and opened by the late champion golfer Henry Cotton. The Course is a Championship designed, 18 hole par 72 course of 6,294 yards in length situated in 250 acres of parkland just 5 minutes from the M6 junction 32 and only 15 minutes drive from Blackpool. Ingol Golf Club is an ideal venue for Functions and can be booked for Conferences, Wedding Receptions, Birthday Celebrations etc. The Clubhouse Restaurant is open daily and offers excellent value and menu choice. Open to non-members. The Professional offers a full range of lessons from beginners to advanced.

Three quarters of the ground have now been redeveloped in recent years, with some excellent looking all seater stands, complete with spectacular looking floodlights. The three stands, at both ends and at one side of the pitch, are of the same height and style and are all large, covered, single tiered stands. Each has a likeness of a past player outlined on the seats and is named after that player. Tom Finney, Bill Shankly and now on the latest stand to be built, goalkeeping legend Alan Kelly, makes a welcome change from the boring letters (such as 'Holte End' - Don't they know which stand they are in?) outlined on most new stands.

This historic city is the administrative capital of Lancashire, and as such plays a huge role in the development of the county. Prestons diverse selection of restaurants, bar, pubs and clubs ensures that you never become bored, and the 25,000+ students who study at the University of Central Lancashire contribute to the lively but friendly atmosphere of these establishments. The city is well worth a visit in its own right, but it also makes an excellent touring base for exploring Lancaster, Blackpool, the Fylde Coast and Lake District.
