Blairgowrie Golf Club - Blairgowrie - Golf

Distance 1.27 miles (2.04 km)
The Blairgowrie Golf Club was founded as a private members club in 1889 and is situated in the heart of the magnificent Perthshire countryside. The Club features the renowned Rosemount and Lansdowne championship courses plus a very attractive 9-hole course which are set in heather lined avenues of pine and silver birch. The courses of The Blairgowrie Golf Club are virtually unique and have that wonderful charm found at very few courses where each hole is unaffected and untouched by another. The combination of Heathland and Woodland provides each hole with a peace and tranquillity completely unspoilt by preceding or following games.

Alyth Golf Club - Alyth - Golf

Distance 5.43 miles (8.69 km)
An 18-hole (6,259 yds) heathland layout, Alyth Golf Club was established in 1894. The original 9 holes were designed by the master Old Tom Morris of St Andrews with James Braid completing the extension in 1934. Playing the course demands constant attention as a combination of tree lined fairways and diverse rolling terrain make the emphasis on precision golf rather than distance, although both are required. Alyth's most demanding aspect however, might be it's tranquil setting. Within the pines, silver birch and heather and overlooking the nearby hills, it is easy to lose yourself in the joys of a good game of golf with a layout so conceived that you barely notice other groups of golfers.
