A Good Place To Stay
I stayed for 4 nights in October 2012 and was delighted. Everybody here was helpful and friendly, and not just the staff. The room I had was clean, well equipped and serviced daily. The atmosphere in the cosy bar made relaxing easy after a day working outside and the food was reasonably priced and well prepared. I have already recommended this hotel to my family and friends and would stay here again without hesitation.

Beautiful location, very scenic. Little boy loved the play area, there were swings, a slide, mini assault course & rockers (mostly new). Food was excellent with a good choice(I recommend the steak), they brew their own beer which was very nice, we tried them all & even bought some to bring home. Room was clean & spacious with a four poster bed & a single bed, but we only had a bath a shower would of been nice. Staff were friendly. I would recommend & would certainly stay again.

A Fantastic Stay. Highly Recommended.
What a wonderful 2 night stay in a wonderful atmosphere with friendly, hospitable, and knowledgeable staff. Particularly Steven, the chap serving breakfast (whose name I didn't get), and even the lady who tidied the rooms up. Not to mention Owain (sp?) the parrot. We stayed in Room 3 which was absolutely beautiful and the view from the room was breathtaking. Breakfast was delicious and the evening meals which we treated ourselves to were outstanding. We would both go back in a heartbeat. Keep up the good work. You will be recommended to all of my friends.

Recent Vivit
as this was not our first visit we were familiar with the Hotel All as expected. Our only complaint was that radiators not on in bathroom or bedroom. It was not too cold as weather was mild (visit early May)but would have been more welcoming when having shower/bath when changing for evening meal.In fairness did not complain at the time as seemed rather petty but did put comment on questionair

Chirk Castle - Chirk - Castle

Distance 5.64 miles (9.03 km)
Chirk Castle, occupied virtually continuously as a castle and stately home for almost 700 years, sits on a hilltop with its best views over the Ceiriog valley to the south. The successor to two known mottes in the area, it was probably built by Roger Mortimer, of the powerful Marcher family, who was granted the area by Edward I after the Welsh defeat in 1282. He was almost certainly given royal assistance in its design and construction, and its similarities to Beaumaris suggest that work may have started as late as 1295, perhaps in response to the Welsh rising of 1294.
